BRENDA SAYS: "I turned the heater down, once again without victory though as Preston leaned over and turned it back up. "When the beauty of Alaska comes a-knockin' at your door, you invite Miami in," I said but he just gave me a puzzled gaze before scratching and sniffing his armpit. Oh these tender moments. It wasn't long before the house on the hill stood still. It must have been built by a wise man, upon a rock. There was a stunning moment of silence in which I reflected on the meaning of baby powder in my life. It's not often that you are handed a peaceful moment to comtemplate these things and if we'd all just cease these moments more completely, I think we'd be much stupider for it so I highly encourage it to every warm body out there. Where was the world before baby powder? There were alot of stinky baby bottoms and women's deoderant must have been licorice-scented and in that case, thank heavens for the powder! Powder is so useful, too. I like to use it when I'm dusting the house and also when I'm in the powder room-it makes me feel authentic. I like to sprinkle just a little on the garlic bread. It livens up the taste and I also enjoy bathing in it as the need arises. Water is highly overrated when baby powder is so readily available. Plus, the more expensive the substance you bathe in, the greater your self-worth so think about taking a caviar bath sometime...or a diamond bath-such luxury!!! Baby powder makes me feel like I've breathed in too deeply or like perhaps if I smell it for even one more second, I'm bound to sneeze. Some people complain of these things but I only say they're gone too quickly. Oh blast! We were home just as my thoughts on baby powder were reaching into the greater depths of the ocean. The children asked me why I was crying as we entered our house and I simply said, "Forgive me!!! I didn't mean to take it for granted!" I poured myself a glass of baby powder and vowed to think of it more often. The end."
